BIOS: I am a trained Population Health researcher with over a decade of work experience in conceptualization, design and execution of research studies concerning cancer prevention, tobacco control,noncommunicable diseases and its risk factors,social determinants of health and maternal and child health.Presently, I work as a ScientistD at ICMRNational Institute of Cancer Prevention and Research (ICMRNICPR), Noida. I am Nodal Officer of the WHO FCTC Knowledge Hub on Smokeless Tobacco.Before joining ICMRNICPR I worked with TERI University(India), MaxPlanck Institute forDemographic Research (Germany) and Institute for Human Development(India). I received prestigious Max PlanckIndia Fellow award from the Max Planck Society(Germany)and alsoinvited by theBritish Society for Population Studies, LSE (UK)as a young researcher. Iwaspart of the14 members ̳Global Equity Review Group‘ constituted by the World Health Organization(WHO), Geneva to assessglobalprogress in Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Childand Adolescent Health and Ageing.I have published 75manuscripts in reputed international journals including Lancet, BMJ, Social Science and Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Health Policy and Planning, The Gerontologist, American Journal of Hypertension amongst others.
