BIOS: I am a trained Population Health researcher with over a decade of work experience in conceptualization, design, and execution of research studies concerning broad themes of strengthening health systems, social determinants of health, maternal and child health, cancer prevention, tobacco control, non-communicable diseases, and its risk factors. Before joining ICMR-NICPR I worked with TERI University (India), Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (Germany), and Institute for Human Development (India). I received the prestigious Max Planck-India Fellow award from the Max Planck Society (Germany) and also invited by the British Society for Population Studies, LSE (UK) as a young researcher from low and middle-income countries. I am part of the 14 members ‘Global Equity Review Group’ recently constituted by the World Health Organization (WHO), Geneva to assess global progress in Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health and Ageing
